Precision
Test Systems manufacturers' various divider boards as options
to its range and frequency standards and distribution
amplifiers.
A new
option will soon be available as a stand alone module
called the MDS10-50.
The
MDS10-50 is a synchronization and divider or
multi-divider module.
It takes a
10 MHz frequency (other input frequencies available upon
request) such as available from a frequency standard and
divides the 10 MHz to the following frequencies.
10 MHz, 5
MHz, 1 MHz, 100 kHz, 10 kHz, 1 kHz, 100 Hz, 10 Hz, 1 Hz,
1 PPM (pulse per minutes), 1 ppH (pulse per hour).
There are four complementary outputs at each frequency
making 88 outputs in all.
All
outputs are TTL compatible and can also drive twisted
pair or parallel transmission lines.
Further
more, all outputs can be synchronized to an external 1
pps (pulse per second) input such as available from a
GPS receiver. The synchronization can either be on
the rising edge or the falling edge of the 1 pps signal.
Every
output will be synchronized to the 1 pps input to within
250 ns or better.
