Introduction

Many of our products have time code options such as NTP, IRIG-B, NMEA0183 and BCD to name a few.  These options use our TCG1000 card and now this card is available as a stand alone model.

Detailed Description

The TCG1000 accepts various types of reference inputs and generates accurate time codes from the reference input.

The reference inputs include the following:

  • NTP Client via 10/100 MB Ethernet

  • 10 MHz sinewave input

  • ASCII Code format 0 or format 1

  • NENA 911 PSAP Standard

  • NMEA 0183

  • IRIG-A, IRIG-B, IRIG-E

From the reference input the following time codes can be generated:

  • NTP server via 10/100 MB Ethernet

  • IRIG-B AM and TTL

  • IRIG-A and IRIG-E

  • SMPTE / EBU

  • NMEA 0183

  • 1 pps TTL

Options

Many options are available such as a programmable relay.  The relay can either be a normally closed or normally open contact and can be scheduled to operate on an event. 

Software

WinDiscover software is supplied for free which enables automatic discovery of NTP clocks attached to a network without having to change the PC's networking configuration.

The TCG1000 can be configured via the Ethernet port of a PC.  It supports DHCP/BOOTP for automatic acquisition of network address, nameservers and time server configuration. 

Networking parameters such as time zone/daylight saving can also be configured.

The configuration is saved in non-volatile memory and units can be password protected.

Mechanical

The TCG1000 is supplied in a aluminum case measuring 172 x 105 x 38 mm and weights less than 500 grams.

Miscellaneous

The TCG1000 is powered from a 12-30 V DC input or an AC adapter type power supply can be provided.  It consumes less than 10W and is CE marked for sale in the EU.
