Precision
Test Systems is pleased to announce the arrival of a new
frequency standard to its well known range.
Precision
Test Systems is well known for its high end, ultra low
phase noise frequency standard range. Now it is
adding an economy version called the
GPS10e.
Therefore,
Precision Test will have a complete line up of frequency
standards from this economy unit to its high performance
GPS10RBN frequency
standard.
The GPS10e
is either available in a 19" rack mount case or a small
black box. Despite the cost cost, the GPS10e
frequency standard still provides a frequency output
disciplined to the GPS satellite system.
Frequency
accuracy when locked to GPS is still in the 10E-12
range, exceeding stratum 2 level requirements. The
budget version offers a 10 MHz and 1 pps outputs.
Options will be introduced to give different frequency
outputs (5 MHz, 13 MHz etc) as well as more outputs
using built in distribution amplifiers.
The small
black box version will be powered by an external 12V
supply. This will either be the AC wall adapter
supplied with the unit or for portable applications, it
can be powered from a car battery, for example.
A RS232
interface can be used to interrogate the unit and
windows software is available for full control and
monitoring purposes. Other interfaces, such as USB
or Ethernet will be optionally available.
The GPS10e
will find applications in calibration laboratories,
computer network systems, manufacturing plants, TV
companies, universities, military applications, amateur
radio and research environments.
The GPS10e
is supplied with a small
active antenna that has
a magnetic mount for easy of installation. For
installations that require a longer antenna run,
Precision Test Systems can supply GPS antenna amplifiers
enabling cable runs of hundreds of meters to be used.
The GPS10e
is expected to sell from $ 800 to $2000 depending upon
quantity and options.
And the
GPS10e carry's our standard 3 year no quibble guarantee.
